King Crimson is an English progressive rock band formed in
London in 1968. King Crimson has been influential both on the early 1970s
progressive rock movement and decades later as they have evolved throughout the years. Robert Fripp has always been the consistent member of the group and the band's leader and driving force. The band has
undergone numerous formations throughout its history and it has included band members; such as Jakko
Jakszyk, Tony Levin, Bill Bruford, Greg lake, Adrien Belew, Mel Collins, Pat Mastelotto, Gavin Harrison, Jeremy Stacey
and Bill Rieflin. The band has earned a large
cult following. They have influenced several generations of progressive and psychedelic rock, alternative metal, hardcore and
experimental bands and musicians worldwide.
