Collins has achieved success as a solo artist, the drummer and singer of the rock band Genesis, a recording session drummer, singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, record producer, and even as an actor. Collins began a solo career in the 1980s, initially inspired by his marital breakdown and love of soul music, releasing a series of hugely successful albums. Collins's discography has sold more than 33 million certified units in the US alone and an estimated 150 million worldwide, making him one of the world's best-selling artists of the '80s and beyond. He had more US Top 40 singles than any other artist during the 1980s. His work with other artists, his artist’s participations and his work on music for films has prevailed under the same scrutiny of his incredibly successful career and this list is exactly a collection of all his works on side projects.
